Even-Handedness Equals Moral Equivalence

No one should be deceived by the allegedly “even-handed” reporting of the war in Gaza by any media such as FOX News.

Even-handedness between Israel and Hamas is but a euphemism for moral equivalence, since it places a civilized country like Israel on the same level as Hamas, terrorist organization whose Charter unambiguously calls for Israel’s destruction.

John Bolton, former US ambassador to the United Nations, points out in his book Surrender is Not an Option, that “moral equivalency” permeates the State Department.

To be even more accurate, the policy of the State Department, hence of the United States government, toward Israel and its enemy, the Palestinian Authority, has ever been dominated by moral reversal. » Continue reading “Even-Handedness Equals Moral Equivalence”

Speculations Regarding Obama

After reading “Israel Insider” commentary (below) regarding Barack Obama, ponder the following speculations:

If Obama has Islamic inclinations and wins the 2008 presidential election:

  1. It may multiply the number of mosques in the United States.
  2. It may increase the number of Muslims immigrating to the United States.
  3. It may increase the number of Muslims in key position in government, especially the State Department.
  4. It may increase the number of Hezbollah and other Islamic “sleeper cells.”
  5. It may diminished freedom of speech and press by suppressing criticism of Islam. » Continue reading “Speculations Regarding Obama”

The Bad and the Ugly (There Are No Good Ones)

Contributed by Dov Even-Or, Esq.
January 27, 2008

1. The mass media (Kol Israel, channels 1,2 and 10, Ha’aretz newspaper) have stopped being a means of passing information and commentary; as far as the future and the character of the State of Israel is concerned, they have vested interests, by promoting an agenda of withdrawing to the 1967 borders, of separating the Jewish people from their sources and of making a pact with the Arabs. A journalist is permitted to have bizarre opinions, but he is not allowed to distort reality, to lie and to call his opponent racist and devoid of national responsibility. All the prohibited things mentioned above are committed daily by the mass media and by Ha’aretz more than anyone else. It is impossible to cite the multiple examples, so I will focus on the agenda Ha’aretz has been promoting for the last month. This newspaper introduces itself as being addressed to the Very Intelligent People, but instead, it addresses the Very Important People!

2. Here is an example of the elevation of Ehud Olmert and the slandering of his opponents (anyone who is against him is his enemy). In the lexicon of Ha’aretz there are no such words as opponent, someone who disagrees, a person of a different opinion, only people of small faith, devoid of vision, hasty, people who want to usurp the throne of the Prime Minister. » Continue reading “The Bad and the Ugly (There Are No Good Ones)”

Prof. Eidelberg on Middle East Radio Forum

Courtesy of  Free Republic.

Posted 15 August, 2007 by Mike Baker.

Through a chain of events and people I have met online, I became aware of the Middle East Radio Forum (MERF), hosted by Attorney William J. Wolf, based in Phoenix. I have listened from time to time, as most of the time we are out and about Sunday at noon.

Friend Dr. Steve Carol, retired historian, sent out an email imploring his email list to listen this past Sunday, August 12. I was home, so I did. I am very glad I did.

The guest was Professor Paul Eidelberg with the The Foundation for Constitutional Democracy, interviewed from Israel. The topic was “The lack of leadership in Israel and is a two-state solution possible?” » Continue reading “Prof. Eidelberg on Middle East Radio Forum”

The Mediacracy (Updated)

If the success of democracy depends on a well-informed public, then democracy today is an abysmal failure, thanks largely to the “mediacracy.”

The mediacracy consists of those who dominate the media, namely, Libertarians, Internationalists, Egalitarians, and (moral) Relativists. I shall refer to them by the acronym, LIERs.

A favorite pastime of the LIERs is Israel-bashing. » Continue reading “The Mediacracy (Updated)”

Political Exaggerations

If we contrast Israel with its Arab neighbors, it would be a gross exaggeration to regard Israel as a totalitarian state, to say nothing of former president Jimmy Carter’s malicious and mendacious reference to Israel as an apartheid state.

Not only does Israel have universal suffrage along and with periodic multi-party elections, but its Knesset or parliament has three Arab parties. What is more, the leaders of these parties advocate Israel’s demise and have even urged Israel’s Arab citizens to emulate Hezbollah.

Arab MKs such as Azmi Bishara and Talib a-Sana can even incite Arab citizens to murder Jews with impunity. » Continue reading “Political Exaggerations”
